Lidhja Shqiptare e Prizrenit (1878-1881) është një nga ngjarjet më të rëndësishme historike të kombit shqiptar. Rëndësia e madhe historike e Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit shtrihet jo vetëm në të gjitha trojet shqiptare, por edhe në Ballkan, madje edhe në tërë Europën.
Lidhja Shqiptare e Prizrenit e zgjoi, e zhvilloi dhe e përparoi vetëdijen kombëtare shqiptare. Ajo me përpjekje të mëdha e ngriti këtë veprimtari në shkallën më të lartë, duke e oganizuar edhe luftën për autonomi-pavarësi…
Lidhja Shqiptare e Prizrenit e çoj, e ngriti për herë të parë çështjën kombëtare shqiptare në arenën ndërkombëtare. Trajtimi i drejtë i Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit përmban njohjen e kushteve dhe marrëdhënjeve politike, ekonomike, shoqërore, kulturore dhe në veçanti atë fetare. Feja, në veçanti feja Islame, prej shumicës së studiuesve, historianëve, nuk është përfillur. Nuk janë përfillur as institucionet e saj, as objektet e saj:
xhamitë, teqetë, mejtepet, medresetë, ku janë zhvilluar veprimtari të ndryshme gjatë Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit…Nuk janë përfillur as titujt e nderuar fetar si myfti, kadi, haxhi, myderriz, hafiz, shejh, hoxhë, imam, mulla, dervish etj.
Gjithashtu, nuk janë përfillur as dijetarët e saj ose ulematë shqiptarë… Ulematë shqiptarë, jo vetëm që nuk janë përfillur, por janë përbuzur, janë nënçmuar, madje edhe janë akuzuar si “turkoshak”, “turkofil”, “turkoman”, “sulltanistë” edhe me emra tjerë edhe më të pistë…!
E vërteta është se, ulematë shqiptarë ishin mendja, zemra dhe shpirti i Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit.

Në të gjitha degët e Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit, në katër vilajetet shqipare, ulematë ishin shtylla kryesore e tyre. Disa ishin, siç thuhet sot, më të moderuar, disa më konservatorë, disa të tjerë më radikal. Por, secili prej tyre ishte i veçant…
I veçant ishte Myderriz Haxhi Ymer Prizreni, me tipare luftarake, por edhe me ndikim të madh shoqëror, kulturor e pedagogjik, i përafërt ishte edhe Myderriz Haxhi Zeka, dy nga figurat më të shquara të ulemave në Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit.
Ulematë shqiptarë përveç organizimit, drejtimit dhe fuqizimit të Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit, zhvilluan edhe veprimtarinë kulturore-pedagogjike.
Prej themelimit, prej Kuvendit të Përgjithshëm të Lidhjes Shqiptare të Prizrenit, i cili i zhvilloj punimet në Xhaminë Bajrakli, jo aty në atë shtëpinë e vogël, e cila ishte mejtep (mësojtore), dhe deri në shuarjen e saj me luftë, prill-maj, 1881, ulematë ishin ata që i shkruan shumicën e akteve, peticionet, memorandumet, shkruan, përpiluan, hartuan, Kararnamen (Akt-vendimin), Talimatin (Urdhëresat) etj. Prej këtyre shkruesve dallohen ulematë pedagogë, që ishin puntorë të arsimit, pra ishin myderrizët, si myderriz Ymer Prizreni, myderriz Ismail Efendi Yvejsi, myfti nga Gjakova, myderriz Ali Efendiu nga Mitrovica, Myderriz Daut Efendi Boriçi nga Shkodra etj.
Ulematë ishin frymëzuesit, organizuesit, e protestave kundër vendimeve të Kongresit të Berlinit, që po vendosnin të coptonin trojet shqiptare. Ulematë ishin frymëzuesit, kur e lypte nevoja, edhe të luftës së armatosur. Ngjarjet e Gjakovës, që e tronditën Europën, shtator, 1878, ku u vra përfaqësuesi i Turqisë, gjenerali Mehmet Ali Pasha me Abdullah Pashë Drenin, mikpritësin nga Gjakova, dhe qindra të tjerë, ishin frymëzuar nga Myderriz Ymer Prizreni, nga Kadiu i Gjakovës, Ahmed Efendi Korenica dhe disa ulema të tjerë…
Kështu ndodhi edhe në mbrojtjen e Plavës, Gusisë, të Ulqinit. Në luftën që u zhvillue në Slivovë e Shtimle, prill, 1881, ku u vranë dhe u plagosën rreth 1200 luftëtarë, mes tyre edhe Mic Sokoli, aty u zue gjallë Mulla Hyseni, i cili u ekzekutue pa gjyq, me Ali Nimanin, oficier, dhe Sefë Kosharën…
Shpirtin luftarak të ulemave, pa dyshim, e përfaqëson, përveç të tjerëve, Myderriz Haxhi Ymer Prizreni.
Aristoteli (384-322) thoshte se poezia është më filozofike, më e vleshme se historia, sepse poezia priret të shpreh të përgjithshmën, kurse historia të pjesërishmën.
Në një poezi, këngë trimërie popullore, që i kushtohet Myderriz Haxhi Ymer Prizrenit, para betejës në Qafë t’Morinës, afër Gjakovës, pranverë, 1881, mendoj se shprehet mjaft bukur e përgjithshmja për ulematë…

All-llahu i Madhnueshëm e ka përcaktuar kush janë besimtarë:
“Besimtarë janë vetëm ata që i besuan All-llahut, të dërguarit të Tij, e mandej nuk dyshuan dhe për hirë të All-llahut luftuan me pasurinë dhe me jetën e tyre. Të tillët janë ata të vërtetët.” (Kur’an, 49:15)
Me pak fjalë, ky ishte roli i ulemave në Lidhjen Shqiptare të Prizrenit, këtë nuk duhet harruar, as nuk duhet lejuar të tjerët ta harrojnë, sepse e harrojmë vetveten….
